Most Sunday afternoons I head to Coles to do the weekly food shop (ugh). I always go dragging my feet and clutching my bundle of enviro bags, but with good intentions of buying new things, expanding my repertoire, finding exciting (easy) inspiration to cook up something healthy and nutritious, but I never do. Same old same old. I end up buying the same stuff.  Oh to have a personal chef, who can be bothered and loves to cook... 

Anyway, the Sunday food shop is sightly more enjoyable now as I always finish off with a browse around the Mix Apparel section, specifically the clearance rack. I normally pop something into my trolley, and this week I succumbed to this loose black tie-belted shift dress. It's been on the rack for a few weeks, so it was marked down to $8 (!!!), how could I resist?!  It's actually really good quality and completely lined. I quite like it. 

I'm quite impressed with the Mix stuff so far. I hope they keep it going.

While on the subject of cheap wearable clothing, I found this dress in Target marked down to $12! Too good a bargain to resist.  It's light and comfortable and has the prerequisite (tie) belt. Maybe it's a tad frumpy, but I figure it's fine for an everyday work/about the house dress, and I like the monochrome print.

I look like a member of the school PTA today, or a real estate agent...! Efficient, smart and mumsy. I'm wearing my new $15 Mix from Coles dress and brown comfy sensible wedges. I could wear this same outfit aged 70! But, the dress is a comfy on, and just right for a trip to the hairdressers before popping into work for an hour or two, before the mummy wheel starts...

I really like this dress. I found it on the clearance rack at Target last week, down from $79 to $34 to $15!  It's fully lined and nicely cut.  What a bloody bargain!  Worn with a thin snakeskin belt, I think it looks pretty smart. And I love the spotty print, it reminds me of the starry sky at night, when sitting on a deserted beach... My Tony Bianco buttermilk platform peeptoes go well with the belt, so I'm sorted!

I do love this dress.  If you have been paying attention, you'll know I also have it in grey.  The black one is my favourite though,  I change the belt for a different look.  I wore a red one last time. 

Today I'm just keeping it plain and simple.  With my absolutely perfect black patent stilettos.  My heart actually skips a beat when I see these heels.  They are so straight and high and pointy and super sexy.  They are totally perfect, and if I could, I would have this very shoe in every colour of the rainbow...

Typical that the sun is out today, after such a grey, cold, drizzly long weekend.

It's still parky, so I've added a warm Portmans cardie to my outfit today.  I am counting down to Spring!  It's just so much easier to dress when it's warm.  I'm wearing my Portmans belted work dress with peplum.  I have this same dress in black too, cause I love this classic style. And my old faithful, very worn heels. 

God I'm like Katie Holmes and her awful tan boots which she keeps wearing, even though they are only fit for the bin! Katie - I'll throw my beloved, comfy stilettos away (and buy a new pair) if you throw your smelly boots away - how's that for a deal?!

It's Monday.  It's work.  I'm not feeling colourful.  So, I've chosen my Portmans black twist dress.  It's very low at the front, but as it's work and not a function/lunch, I have a normal bra on, and not a push together, so not to give anyone an eye full.  Okay, not that I can give anyone an eye full - but you know what I mean. Demure, that's me.

Oops my pic is a bit blurry today. Probably down to the gloomy light in my hall, when the sun went in for a bit. I'm wearing one of my corporate work dresses today, because after my outing to the city yesterday, I felt like wearing something fitted and smart. With my lovely purple soled Peeptoes, which thankfully are finally starting to soften a little, they crippled me at first. 

I loved looking at all the lovely ladies yesterday, walking about in their lunch hour. Some dresses better than others. I have to say those wearing lovely shoes really stood out. I just can't take to flats, I just never will.

Saw some fabulous dresses in Review, Cue and Alannah Hill, and tried on some Christian Louboutins in DJs, but I resisited temptation and came home empty handed.  What a good girl I am!

I nipped out to the shops this morning, with my eye on spotting a bargain, but there was nothing I liked, reduced, or full priced.  So I returned home with just a classic grey v necked jumper and a black polo neck.  I'll wear these heaps over winter.

Later I have to go into work. I'm going to make some calls... I'm trying desperately to find out where Prince is going to hold his secret after show gig tonight (or maybe tomorrow night).  I would actually kill to get my hands on tickets. I am a true, die hard fan and I need to be in His Purple Presence...

Anyway... today I am wearing a long sleeved autumnal print dress and my old favs, my very pointed black stilettos with a stacked heel.  They feel like old slippers on, and I can't bear to part with them, even thought they have seen better days... I can't even remember where I bought them.

It was cold this morning, down to 8!  Brr.  Now the sun is out, the temperature has hit 20 and it's another beautiful autumn Queensland day. 

But because of the morning chill, I chose a longer black raw-silk shift dress for today, and a long black cardie.  Jazzed up with a black patent bow belt, and my gorgeous Tony Bianco bow stilettos (which I'm still slipping out of when I walk. Humph). Oh and I'm wearing my pearls of course!

Black linen dress with red suede Guess stilettos

Today it's all about the shoes...

I love these blood red suede heels from Guess.  The vivid colour, bronze zip detail that ends in a little bow, the very high stiletto heel - makes for a fabulous shoe.

I have searched an searched to find a matching thin red suede belt, but have yet to find one, so I've had to wear my red patent one. Not ideal, but oh well, needs must. I chucked on some red glass beads too.

The dress is an old black linen, bias cut v-necked number.  Can't remember where it's from, as I cut the label off (it scratched).

It's just about warm enough for no sleeves today... I'm wearing a silky black work dress from Sussan, with zip detail at the back and cross over neck.  I have sooo many black work dresses, it's ridiculous really... Worn with my favourite snakeskin stilettos. And pearls.

I feel all business-like today, so I've put on my 'I work in an office' attire.  A black Jigsaw pencil skirt, with small side splits (from my London days) and a navy polka-dot shirt. I have had to reluctantly wear a vest under the shirt, so I don't show my bra... not that it bothers me, but, well you know what some people are like. Silver ball accessories and patent black stilettos complete the look.

This dress is one of my favs for work. I love the classic cut and quirky print combination. The dress is from Basque, the shoes, you've seen before, my Zoe Whittner stilettos in pearlescent plum patent.
