today I am wearing...

I love Mix clothing. Shopping at Coles is no longer such a chore due to the anticipation of what new dresses may have come in during the week.

This black jersey cowl neck racer-back dress was $19!  Bloody bargain.  It's so similar to dresses in Witchery for at least $100 more. Since buying it several week back I have worn it regularly, with or without a belt. I love it (and I don't need to wear a bra - yeeehaaa)!

I'm out to lunch in the city today, it's hot and sunny, so this dress is perfect.

today I am wearing...

I popped into Coles for some milk yesterday and came out with a new dress. I couldn't resist it. Mix has a great range of simple summer dresses at the moment for only $19 each.

Here are my favourites, including the one I'm wearing today.

a new outfit

I love these cotton trousers from Mix. I think I might just have to buy them, along with a new vest and possibly new shoes... it has been a while (since my last shoe purchase and Uggs don't count!). I'm really of liking this outfit... Comfy for round the house, geat with thongs for popping out for a coffee, and casual- cool with a nice pair of stilettos.  Yep, that'd do.

Mix seam-free tank $8
Siren 'Jessica' heels $149

today I am wearing...

Most Sunday afternoons I head to Coles to do the weekly food shop (ugh). I always go dragging my feet and clutching my bundle of enviro bags, but with good intentions of buying new things, expanding my repertoire, finding exciting (easy) inspiration to cook up something healthy and nutritious, but I never do. Same old same old. I end up buying the same stuff.  Oh to have a personal chef, who can be bothered and loves to cook...

Anyway, the Sunday food shop is sightly more enjoyable now as I always finish off with a browse around the Mix Apparel section, specifically the clearance rack. I normally pop something into my trolley, and this week I succumbed to this loose black tie-belted shift dress. It's been on the rack for a few weeks, so it was marked down to $8 (!!!), how could I resist?!  It's actually really good quality and completely lined. I quite like it.

I'm quite impressed with the Mix stuff so far. I hope they keep it going.

With a cute cardie, for those cooler days or evenings, they are just the thing every girl (lady?) needs in her wardrobe!

today I am wearing (and me time)...

I had a 'me' day today. I needed it. Sometimes it's good to have a breather isn't it. My mind and body was craving sun rays. Desperately. I can't tell you have much better I feel, after an hour or so topping up on vitamin D! I actually get a little agitated when I haven't sunbathed for a while. It's been weeks and my skin is starting to turn pasty. Ugh. So after a browse round the shops (yes, yes, I did buy a dress, two in fact), an hour of mummy duty, cheering on my two darlings at their school swimming carnival (boring, very noisy, immersed in the stench of clammy skin, rubber and chlorine), I returned home to do an hours exercise (I almost died on the treadmill!) then I donned my bikini and just wafted into the pool. Ahhh. Total bliss! Cool weightlessness and relaxation. The clear blue ripples of the water against the vivid blue sky. Then lazing in the warm sun with just a whisper of a breeze caressing my skin. Paradise in my back garden!

After a shower I slipped this Mix dress on with my Tony Bianco 'Alamo' heels, (which I later swapped for thongs) and teal beads.
