I had a coffee meeting this morning. I haven't worn this dress or shoes for a while, so thought they deserved an outing.

Monday again. It'll be Christmas before we know it!

Today I am wearing one of my favourite work dresses. You’ve seen it before, but I haven’t worn it for a while. It’s my Basque peplum, belted dress with black flower applique. The grey/black print makes it a bit more interesting than a plain colour. And I must admit to liking a little subtle animal print every now and then. My dear husband blames my Essex girl genes for this, and he’s probably right. I have added my pearls and Peeptoe black patent peep toes (that are still too tight, but you have to suffer sometimes for shoes right?!).

I'm bloody desperate for a shopping trip!  I had to restrain myself all weekend.  I still haven't been to the Tony Bianco shoe sale (extra 20% off).  It's killing me.  I hate to miss out.  But I'm being a GOOD GIRL! Grrrrr!

It's the last week of the Myer Mid Season Sale. I happened to be passing by yesterday and as you know, I find it really hard to resist a sale, so I popped in... Most of the sale items have an additional 30% off, but there are some bargains to be had on the 'take a further 75% off' rail.  I got this Basque dress for $20, down from $129!  Perfect for work and it's made from that nice stetchy fabric.  Goes well with my plum Steven Madden stilettos too. Happy days.

I had to pop into work for a few hours today.  It's so hard to stay work-motivated when the school holidays are on and life slows down and you are able to step off the routine wheel for a bit.  As I have said before, I love the school holidays.  Lazy mornings, going out for lunch, day trips, reading books and catching up with friends. Lovely, lovely, happy times.

I decided on this 'flight attendant' dress again and decided that I do in fact like it after all.  I love fit and flare style dresses, they always look good on English pears (like me) or hourglass body shapes. And they never go out of style.

Colour splash! After looking at the Alice + Olivia collection for ages and admiring the lovely outfits, I felt like a dose of vibrant colour today. I love this cotton, Basque sun dress. It has pockets and fits beautifully. I was going to wear my soft pink heels, but decided on my lime green slingbacks instead.

Now all I need is a tequila sunrise to match, or maybe a jug of Pimms...anyone care to join me?

I bought this Basque dress from Myer yesterday. I like the vibrant colour block contrast and the classic, nipped in at the waist design. But. Now I'm not so sure. Ever since Mr S said I looked like an flight attendant! I guess it does look a little like a uniform... So now I'm undecided.  I hate it when that happens...
