I have a lunch appointment today, so I thought I'd better smarten myself up a bit!  This lovely hot, balmy weather is making me want to walk around in next to nothing, which is fine for slobbing around the house, but not fine for meets with suppliers.  So, this little number is one of the dresses I snapped up last week in the Myer 30% off sale.  It's from Tokito and I really like the cut and detail of this dress; the puffy sleeves, big pockets, stitching round the neck and the purple backed sash belt.  Nice touches to a LBD. And my Steve Madden plum stilettos are the prefect match.

All set for a free lunch in a nice restaurant by the sea. Yay! I won't need cook dinner tonight.  The family can fend for themselves!

It's the last week of the Myer Mid Season Sale. I happened to be passing by yesterday and as you know, I find it really hard to resist a sale, so I popped in... Most of the sale items have an additional 30% off, but there are some bargains to be had on the 'take a further 75% off' rail.  I got this Basque dress for $20, down from $129!  Perfect for work and it's made from that nice stetchy fabric.  Goes well with my plum Steven Madden stilettos too. Happy days.

I felt like getting down to business today, so dressed for the office.  Sometimes I miss the corporate world. I did enjoy my time working in the big city in a flashy office in a cool part of town.  I felt confident and could hold my head up high and feel part of the steady pulse of a city that never sleeps. I loved the people I worked with too.  The cheeky banter, my lovely office husband, the slick ambitious girls and the clever, playful suited boys.  Long alcohol fuelled lunches in new restaurants, meetings in trendy cafes, over strong coffee, watching the world go by and gossipping, late nights in loud, smokey bars and rushing blind to catch the last tube home...

So for today, I slipped on my black crepe Cue dress and Steve Madden black patent stilettos, and my pearls (of course).

Yay the sun is out today!  I hope it sticks around as I have a lunch date. 

I'm wearing a new Cue In the City dress.  I love it!  It's such a gorgeous colour and the fabric is heavy and pouffy (in a good way), it's beautifully lined and just feels fab on. It's still a bit parky outside, so I've added a Top Shop jumper underneath, and my Hot Options jacket again.

I had a tough decision on the heels...  My Zoe Whittner plum stilettos, which are a perfect colour match or Steve Madden black patent stilettos? I opted for the black.  I'll wear the plum next time, when I don't need the jumper under the dress.
