We're off for a walk in the rainforest. I love the forest after rain, it seems to come alive with renewed colour and bird song and earthy smells; filling your lungs with fresh air and loving the beauty of nature.
What I have to prepared for however, is leeches. They love me, and when it's damp, out they come to suck my blood. I hate them. They give me the creeps. I have leant the hard way, that unless I seal up my legs, they will find a way to attach themselves, even when wearing knee high boots, they still slither up until they find bare flesh. Ugh.
So, jeans tucked into thick socks and boots it is.
