today I am wearing...

Saturday night Mr S and I went for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and his birthday. I wore my new midnight black (which means navy) Cue dress. I must say I do love it. It's such a classic, wearable design and it fits like a glove. The only slight bummer is that it seems to attract cat hairs... a problem when you have two fat, hairy, cats that slob around the house. 

I had intended on wearing my Louboutin's, but I ended up with blisters on my little toes after my earlier (see post below) shopping trip (I found out that my new Diavolina wedges rub, grrrr)! So on with my go-with-everything Tony Bianco' Alamo' tan sandals, and a little red lippy... I have never worn lipstick, I feel weird in it, but I like it on (some) people, so thought I'd give it a go out in public...

Actually I am not wearing these outfits today. They are my two Birthday weekend outfits, one worn on Friday night, the other on Saturday night. My absolute bargain of the decade purchases (see yesterdays post). Thought you might like to see them on. Not the best snaps in the world, taken by Miss L as I'm about to go out of the door...

I LOVE my new dresses and I had such a fabulous Birthday and I loved all my pressies and feel very spoilt. A bloody good 40th that's for sure! More on all that later... x

today I am wearing (and me time)...

I had a 'me' day today. I needed it. Sometimes it's good to have a breather isn't it. My mind and body was craving sun rays. Desperately. I can't tell you have much better I feel, after an hour or so topping up on vitamin D! I actually get a little agitated when I haven't sunbathed for a while. It's been weeks and my skin is starting to turn pasty. Ugh. So after a browse round the shops (yes, yes, I did buy a dress, two in fact), an hour of mummy duty, cheering on my two darlings at their school swimming carnival (boring, very noisy, immersed in the stench of clammy skin, rubber and chlorine), I returned home to do an hours exercise (I almost died on the treadmill!) then I donned my bikini and just wafted into the pool. Ahhh. Total bliss! Cool weightlessness and relaxation. The clear blue ripples of the water against the vivid blue sky. Then lazing in the warm sun with just a whisper of a breeze caressing my skin. Paradise in my back garden!

After a shower I slipped this Mix dress on with my Tony Bianco 'Alamo' heels, (which I later swapped for thongs) and teal beads.
